Similar Simulation Study on the Law of Mining Pressure in “Three Soft” Coal Seam near the Fault

  • In view of the abnormal mining pressure near the fault in the “three soft” coal seam mining process in Guizhou mining area, a similar simulation experiment method was adopted. According to the actual situation in 110302 working face of a mining area in Miluo Coal Mine, a two-dimensional similar material simulation model was designed and made. The similar simulation results show that when the working face is close to the fault, the roof periodic pressure step decreases; when the working face is 30 cm away from the fault, the slip and instability of the upper wall of the fault first occurs relative to the foot wall; when the working face passes through the fault, the foot wall of the fault appears slippage and instability with respect to the upper wall again, the slip instability of fault is accompanied by abnormal mining pressure on working face.
