Prediction and Actual Measurement of Water Flowing Fractured Zone Height in Overburden Strata of Flat Seam

  • In order to exactly predict the development height of the water flowing fractured zone in the overburden strata after the mining of 11607 working face in Qinglong Coal Mine, the height of the water flowing fractured zone was respectively predicted according to the practical geological and mining conditions of the mine and by using the grey neural network and the empirical formula, and the predicted results was compared with the site measured results. The results showed that the predicted results based on the grey neural network were more closer to the actual ones than that based on the calculation with the empirical formula, and it was concluded from the comprehensive analysis and comparison that the development height of the water flowing fractured zone in the overburden strata of 11607 working face in Qinglong Coal Mine was about 44.4 m to 46.9 m.
