Abstract
In order to demonstrate the drainage feasibility of thick glutenite aquifer on coal seam roof, combined with hydrogeological conditions of aquifer and data of downhole water inflow. The response of aquifer water level to concentrated and continuous upwelling of water underground was analyzed, and drainage feasibility of aquifer was studied based on dewatering test. The result showed that the thick glutenite aquifer has good permeability and abundant water supply. The aquifer water level is reduced greatly whether it is a concentrated upwelling or a continuous upwelling, and water inrush at downhole outlet points is significantly reduced and tends to be stable. High flow drainage for a long time can be used to reduce aquifer water level and consume static storage of groundwater. It is feasible to drainage groundwater of aquifer on coal seam roof before working face mining.
