Correlation Analysis of Controlling Factors on Fault Activation

  • In order to study the correlation of controlling factors affecting the activation of the fault, FLAC3D numerical software was used to simulate the activation of the fault, and the simulation scheme was determined by orthogonal table.By analyzing the influence curves of controlling factors on fault activation, it is found that faults with small dip angle, deep mining depth, wide fracture zone and high fault throw are more likely to activate.The simulation results are analyzed by means of variance analysis and grey relational analysis, and it shows that the correlation between the controlling factors and the fault activation is ranked from largest to smallest as follows: fault dip angle, coal mining depth, width of fault fracture zone, fault throw. And the influence of fault dip angle and coal mining depth on fault activation is significantly greater than the effect of fracture zone width and fault throw.
