Influence of Vacuum Chamber Thickness of Weak Panel Material on Gas Explosion Suppression

  • In order to study the influence of the thickness of weak panel material on gas explosion suppression in the vacuum chamber, aⅠ-type pipe of gas explosion experiment was designed. The experiment of gas explosion suppression without vacuum chamber and the experiment of gas explosion suppression with weak panel material thickness of 0.1 mm, 0.2 mm and 0.3 mm were carried out. The results show that the vacuum chamber can effectively suppress explosion. When the thickness of the weak panel material is 0.1 mm, the vacuum chamber has the best suppression effect, the maximum intensity of flame signal is only 0.14 V, and tends to extinguish after the F6 measurement point. The maximum overpressure of all measuring points is below 0.08 MPa, the purpose of explosion suppression is achieved.
