Analysis of various dust control measures and intelligent exhaust effect at transfer point of coal preparation plant

  • In order to study the control effect of different dust control measures at the transfer point of the coal preparation plant on dust pollution, and improve the dustfall efficiency at the transfer point of the coal preparation plant, and preliminarily realize the intelligence of the dustfall system at the transfer point of the coal preparation plant, a research method combining numerical simulation and physical similarity simulation experiments was adopted. The dustfall efficiency and the change rule of dust concentration of various dust control measures such as suction hoods, dust curtains, and air curtains were analyzed. The numerical simulation results show that the dustfall efficiency of the optimal position of the exhaust hood combined with the arrangement of the air curtain is up to 92.0%. When the air volume of the exhaust hood increases, the dustfall efficiency increases, but it is necessary to avoid the adverse impact of excessive exhaust air volume on the ventilation system. An increase in inlet airspeed will reduce the dustfall efficiency, and when the airspeed is 0.1 m/s, the efficiency is reduced to 74.8%, so it is recommended to appropriately reduce the inlet airspeed to improve the effect. Physical similarity simulation experiments verified the reliability of numerical simulations, showing that the effect of single measure is relatively limited. By combining suction hoods with the air curtains, the dustfall efficiency can be increased to 90.5%. Further combined with the use of dust curtain, the dustfalll efficiency can be further increased to 95.7%. Based on this, intelligent control technology is introduced to achieve on-demand adjustment of air quantity through sensors and programmable controller systems, thereby maintaining a dustfall efficiency of over 90.0%.
