Research on spatial failure characteristics of mining floor in gently inclined coal seams of underground coal mining and its application

  • Taking the 061405 working face of Lingxin Coal Mine as the engineering background, this study investigates the stress distribution and spatial failure characteristics of the gently inclined floor caused by mining, based on the theory of elasticity and numerical simulation software. Additionally, a method for evaluating the water inrush hazard considering the spatial characteristics of floor failure is proposed. The results indicate that the maximum analytical depth of failure in the gently inclined floor is 21.5 m. The failure pattern along the working face exhibits an "asymmetric saddle" shape, characterized by "shallower failure depths on the upper side near the goaf and deeper failure depths on the lower side". The spatial failure characteristics of the gently inclined floor show an overall asymmetric trend of fault-like growth from the center of the goaf to the surrounding areas. The evaluation results for the water inrush hazard, considering the spatial characteristics of floor failure, are consistent with actual mining practices.
