Numerical study on dust concentration distribution in screening workshop of coal preparation plant

Abstract
Aiming at the serious dust pollution in the screening workshop of coal preparation plant, taking Majiliang Coal Preparation Plant as the research object, by combining numerical simulation with field test, the dust migration law at the vibrating screen of the screening workshop was simulated by using Fluent software. The migration law of dust movement with time and space under the action of air flow was analyzed. A method combining spray and closed cover was put forward to control dust. The results show that a large amount of dust generated by the blanking pipe and the vibrating screen is concentrated on the screen surface of the vibrating screen and the dust mass concentration is up to 60 mg/m3. The dust concentration decreases gradually with the increase of the distance from the vibrating screen. The velocity of air flow in the workshop decreases with the increase of migration distance. The dust control method combined with spray and closed cover is applied to the field and the average dust removal efficiency reaches 92.3%.
