Research on the motion equation of respirable dust in fully mechanized excavation face

  • In this paper, the main forces of respirable dust particles moving in horizontal and vertical directions in the roadway were analyzed. Based on the particle motion theory, the motion equations of the respirable dust particles were established, and the movement characteristics of the respirable dust particles in the roadway were revealed. According to the motion equation, the parameters such as the final time, final speed and final distance of respirable dust particles moving in vertical direction with initial speed of 0 m/s and horizontal direction with wind speed of 1 m/s were determined. The test was carried out to generate dust in the simulated fully mechanized excavation face, so that the respirable dust particles could move in the roadway with the motion parameters determined. The test results prove that the respirable dust will move in the roadway for a long time without settling, and its particle size distribution in the vertical direction is inversely proportional to the ground distance. The experimental results are consistent with the motion equation, which proves the correctness of the motion equation of the respirable dust particles.
