Design of intrinsically safe circuit with adjustable cut-off current and protection time

  • In order to solve the shortcomings of low protection accuracy, low efficiency and poor parameter setting flexibility of traditional current-limited and current-intercepted intrinsically safe protection circuits, on the basis of analyzing the intrinsically safe protection circuit mode, a self-recovery intrinsically safe protection circuit based on current detection chip, voltage comparator and monostable delay circuit was designed.The performance of the new current-intercepted intrinsically safe circuit and the traditional current-limited protection circuit was compared and tested.The results show that the designed intrinsically safe circuit has the advantages of fast response, high efficiency and small internal resistance.
