Study on spray optimization and noise reduction of mine wet dust collector

  • In order to improve the performance of dust collector, the spray unit of KCS-180D mine wet dust collector was optimized, and the noise reduction was carried out from the sound source control approach. Based on the analysis of the current situation of the traditional spray unit, according to the differential equation of the down wind spray particle movement trajectory, a ring spray unit was developed which can reduce the loss of spray particles, improve the atomization effect and dust removal efficiency. It is found that the abnormal noise is caused by the turbulent flow of the fluid caused by the unreasonable structure of the guide vane of the fan, which is verified by the experiment. According to the research results, the performance of the dust collector is improved: the liquid-gas ratio is reduced by 10%, the total dust removal efficiency is increased by 4%, the respirable dust removal efficiency is increased by 8%; the noise of the dust collector is reduced by 17.6 dB (A)and the reduction rate is 16.5%.
