Air flow-dust distribution law of multi-dust sources in fully mechanized working face with large mining height

  • In order to deeply study the distribution law of air flow-dust in the fully mechanized working face with large mining height under the influence of multiple dust sources, FLUENT software was used to simulate the two main dust production processes of moving frame and cutting, and the diffusion law of dust with air flow was analyzed. The numerical simulation results show that the superposition effect of dust is very obvious under the influence of several dust sources; the lowest dust mass concentration is 98.8 mg/m3, and the highest is over 1 000.0 mg/m3, the highest dust concentration is in front and rear drum of the shearer. Meanwhile, by comparing the data of dust mass concentration obtained by numerical simulation and field measurement, it is found that the overall error between the two is not more than 12.0%, it shows that the numerical simulation results are accurate and can provide guidance for the control of dust pollution in fully mechanized working face.
