Abstract
In order to better study the influence of metamorphism degree on the spontaneous combustion characteristics of coal, five coal samples with different metamorphism degrees, including Changcun anthracite coal, Donghuantuo gas coal, and lignite from Cui Coal Mine, were selected as experimental objects. The data such as zero point temperature of heat flux difference, absorption peak and peak temperature, heat absorption and exothermic rate of coal samples with different metamorphism degrees were obtained through experiments by DSC. The study shows that the higher the metamorphism degree is, the higher the zero point temperature of heat flux difference is, and the lower the absorption peak and peak temperature is; anthracite coal with the highest degree of metamorphism has the slowest rate of heat absorption and exothermic, lignite with the lowest degree of metamorphism has the fastest rate of heat absorption. The coal with high degree of metamorphism is less prone to spontaneous combustion.
