Abstract:
Using ASPEN EDR software to design the shell-and-tube heat exchanger can save a lot of manual calculation process and improve the efficiency of the heat exchanger's designer. The general method for designing and verifying the shell-and-tube heat exchanger by ASPEN EDR software was described in this paper by taking the local process of the low-concentration gas power generation project as the example. Since the heat flux medium is the low-concentration coal-bed methane having high explosive hazard, besides meeting the requirements of the heat exchange and pressure drop of the heat exchanger, correspouding explosion suppression measures must be taken to ensure its safety.
