Abstract:
To improve the droplet range of air-blast sprayer, based on the equations of droplet movement, collision and breakage, the effects of distribution diameter, number, direction, hole diameter of nozzles and spray pressure on droplet range of the air-blast sprayers were discussed by using numerical simulation and orthogonal experiment. The results show that the droplet movement of the air-blast sprayers has experienced three stages of spray, settlement and drift respectively, and the distance ratio of each stage is close to 3∶1∶1. The spraying section determines the size of the droplet range, and the effective range of the droplet is from 77% to 100% of the maximum range. The primary and secondary factors affecting the droplet range are working pressure, distribution diameter of nozzle, nozzle diameter, nozzle angle and nozzle number.
